Attestation Signature Requirements
What do you require for a signature on an attestation document from a student? In particular, we're wondering about what you require on part-time OSAP applications for Income Attestation documents.
The part-time manual doesn't really say anything about signatures, but the Full-time manual states "The Ministry will accept electronic signatures from students on any documentation."
We have operated in the past on the logic that an "attestation" is more formal/official than a letter but less official than an affidavit and we have insisted on handwritten signatures on attestations....but we are now questioning if our thinking should change based on what the full-time manual states about signatures. Any thoughts/feedback are appreciated!! Thank you!

We do the same for the signature pages. Just wasn't sure about attestations whether that is held as something requiring a physical signature or not or if it is to be treated like a regular letter (which the full time manual says electronic signatures for students can be find on). If it's the same as a letter....why not just call it a letter?!
