ODSP + non-education funding 25/26
We are having a lot of ODSP students reaching out to us because of the non-educational funding showing on their funding summary forms to give to ODSP caseworkers. I don’t recall having so many inquiries in past years. The ODSP caseworkers are questioning students on this.
It was my understanding that if students accurately declare ODSP funding on the original OSAP application, their non-educational funding from OSAP should be $0.
Is this just a case of funding generally increasing for OSAP this year, and so ODSP is expected to claw back the extra?
In past years, I’ve been used to non-educational funding showing on the summary form after a student fails to declare ODSP on the original app, indicating over-funding from OSAP in error that ODSP should claw back. Are other schools encountering this?

Thanks very much for this explanation! Maybe I just have more proactive ODSP students this year!!
