Anyone else wish for an Excel upload option for the BRS?
Hey OASFAA Friends -
Anyone else wish there was an Excel upload option for the BRS? I know that .xml was going to be the hot new thing when the OSAP BRS Upload launched, but obviously the Ministry moved on, and honestly I've never gotten decent institutional support in cooking up an .xml export from our student information system. There are ways of making Excel generate .xml, and text is fine as long as you don't have to do much troubleshooting, but wouldn't Excel be easier, and, you know, consistent?
Or is this just my own bias and everyone loves .xml? Or does no one use the BRS upload because it is too much of a pain? I'd like to submit this to the Systems Committee, but not if it is only a me problem. I'm all ears.
