Bursaries for Frauds/Scams
Hi All - Trying to get a sense of how many schools support financially students who are victims of fraud/scams. We have been supporting but would like to reduce and slowly remove support (except for extenuating circumstances) with increased prevention efforts as it tends to reward risky behaviour.
Questions:
- do you provide a bursary for students who are victims of fraud/scams?
- is there a maximum support value or calculation?
- are there additional requirements?

Hello Nene,
St. Lawrence College does not typically support students who are victims of scams as the students have typically made an active payment(s) to the fraudsters and this decision was within their control.
As Lindsay mentioned, we encourage students to file a police report in this situation.
