OLSG Letters - 1 Month Out from SPE
Now that many schools have their SPE within 1 month for students in their 'last year' from the cost code, ie. 2/2, students are getting letters that say:
The use of the word 'graduating' is going to appear as confusing to students who are not done. Their app or CS-OLSG/ECS may say they are in year 2/2, but several students may have additional time left to complete for various reasons, ie. failed a course/s, delayed practicum/term, took a reduced CL, etc.
MCU indicated this wording will not change.
Just FYI so you can advise these students to ignore the word 'graduating' and advise accordingly on what their next action should be, whether the Cohort Deferral Review (ECS), ensuring COE is done on new OLSG, etc. And ECS cannot be completed until the appropriate time, eg. Sep/Oct 2025, for SPE of Apr 2025. They cannot be done now for later.
