Academic Review Question for Colleges
Hi everyone,
I am looking for feedback from other colleges on how you calcualte a student's course load for adacemic progress when they have been in two programs in one academic year.
For Example: A student begins a 2-term foundation program in the Fall and sucessfully completes it in Winter. In Spring, they start a 2-year diploma and are unsucessful.
Iif all three terms are included, they meet the 60% progress requirement. If they are not included they would receive an academic probation.
In this case, would you calculate the course load for all three terms, or just for the Spring term since it is a new program?
Thanks for your input!

If the AY the student receives funding for is say 22-23 and they got funded for F/W/S, then all 3 terms are used in the calc of AP, top bullet on p366
so if you are like us and have programs that run a typical FW SP like Sep-Apr, then also have May intakes that may be 1/2/3 terms, a student could essentially have up to 5 terms included in their 1 AP review, ie. FW Sep-Apr, then SFW May-Apr, but all on app year of 22-23.
