BSWD

We submitted the signed TPA back to the Ministry. I am eagerly waiting for an update to the budget summary on the BRS portal. I have 'run out' of federal funds as shown currently so can't process any more applications. I know the TPA document states the funding is received in October and December but.. when is it going to be updated on the BRS portal 2026-27 budget summary area?

Has anyone asked and/or received updated information? Thanks

Hi friends - just FYI, our institution received our allocation and Transfer Payment Agreement for BSWD/CSG-DSE yesterday. In our case, it went to the President's office, so if you don't see it you may wish to inquire upwards in the org chart.

Hi all - Just sharing that we at OCAD University have spent through our temporary BSWD allocation. We have institutional funds available and are considering various options, but raised the issue with the executive. The co-chairs identified that this is a critical issue for many institutions and escalated to the Ministry.

In response, they've been informed that the Ministry is "... awaiting final Ministerial approval on the funding and hoping to be able to release TPAs soon, and funding to follow." Just wanted to share, and to express my appreciation for the work the co-chairs are doing to advocate for institutions facing an unacceptable delay. Cheers, peeps.

Our DSO has raised concerns about the current cost and availability of laptops. They’ve seen substantial price increases, possibly related to memory shortages and tariffs.

I’m wondering if other institutions have a standard laptop cost/maximum for funding purposes. If you do, have you had to increase your amount for this academic year given the current market?
