Student AidBC SIMS - Designation status Pending
Good morning; I am wondering if other Inst. have had their Designation status approved for BC SIMS. If so, are you able to confirm the timeline for your approval. Thank you.

We (Nipissing University) had our designation approved and it was fairly lengthy. I just checked my emails, I started the process March 27th, 2026, and we received final designation May 29th, 2026. Thankfully our VP of Finance/legal signing authority is involved and helpful because she had to be included on a lot of the correspondence with BC, but yes, it did take some time.
